Matt is a Retired Army Officer,  who served four combat tours (3 in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq). Thanks to the military Matt was able to coach at and experience a few different associations. He began his coaching career in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he helped with their IP program. He later coached in South Bend in the Irish Youth Hockey League. While in South Bend, Matt also helped plan many of the military  appreciation events for the University of Notre Dame. These events took place during Notre Dame Hockey, Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, 2019 NHL Winter Classic, and the 2019 Outdoor game between Notre Dame and the University of Michigan. After moving back to Traverse City, Matt was the 7U, 8U, SQ A head coach and is the current SQ AA Head Coach. Matt served as the Mite Director, the  ACE Coordinator and Vice President.

A proud hockey mom of a 2012 player. My son, Nico's passion and commitment for the game is what has led me to center my time and attention on GTHA.  My desire is to improve communication processes; fundraising/sponsorship efforts; develop a volunteer platform; and a mentoring program (both parent and player) for GTHA and always welcome volunteer help if you are interested!

A devoted hockey mom with a passion for the sport. My primary goal is to foster a welcoming environment for everyone to embrace and enjoy the game of hockey. Beyond the rink, she is a healthcare regulations expert. She is married to her supportive husband, Tony Posey, and blessed with a 13-year-old daughter named Kaitlyn. The love of hockey runs deep in our family.

Tim has had three children play hockey with GTHA and has been a GTHA parent, volunteer, or coach for nearly a decade.  He has been involved with the Girls, House, and Travel programs, and has coached every age group from mites to bantams.  Tim's family lives on a small horse farm in East Bay, and when not coaching, volunteering, or taking care of the farm, he practices law with Parker Harvey, PLC in Traverse City. 

I have been associated with GTHA for a long while serving in many roles from jersey parent, team scheduler, team manager and assistant coach.  I have also served as the Board President and am pleased to continue my service to the Association as the Treasurer.  I have met many great volunteers while involved in GTHA and I continue to be in awe of the power of our local hockey family.  I have four children and each of them tried hockey at one point (some longer than others) and to this day, they remind me of how many great memories were made while in GTHA.

Chris is a retired Coast Guard Aviator and Precision Marksman who grew up in the GTHA program and played for the Traverse City Central hockey team. He is currently the head coach of the 8U mite program and assistant coach for the 14U Girls T2 team. Chris is also coaching youth soccer and enjoying the great outdoors in Northern Michigan.
