Below, you will information about some fundraising activies GTHA members participate in.  The Lottery is a long term fundraiser that all families are required to participate in.  The SCRIP program is relatively new and is voluntary. 

Dear Parents and friends of GTHA,

We are pleased to be able to provide a way for you pay for your children(s) hockey and help keep the cost down for all hockey families. This program will basically require no work on your part, just a little bit of organization. It is called “Scrip.”

Scrip is a gift certificate program from national retailers worth face value. These are the same gift certificates you would purchase at the store for weddings, birthdays or Christmas gifts. We are also able to bring you cards featuring vendors that you use for your day-to-day shopping, including; gas, groceries, home supplies, fast food, and many others. The scrip program promises to be a simple and a very effective means of raising and saving money for you and the GTHA. Here is how it will work:

You will earn a percentage of the face value of every gift certificate you purchase. When you purchase scrip for your day to day shopping through GTHA you are also helping to pay for your child’s hockey.

To sign up, click the link  to shopwithscrip.com. GTHA enrollment code is provided above. Follow the instructions in "Getting Started" , then sign up for PrestoPay and you are ready to go.

Orders are currently placed every two weeks.  Place an order by Thursday morning  at 10:00 am and it will be available at Centre Ice by the following Wednesday evening.

 As an added convenience more and more merchants are being added to the "reloadable" category an the "scrip now" category. This means that for these cards you can order when ever you need and not have to pick anything up.

GTHA will keep track of how much you have accumulated, and periodically give you a statement if you are actively participating in the program.  At the beginning of next season we will have a payment “window” when you can tell us how you would like your savings applied, either to pay off your bill, or to make a donation to the GTHA.

All orders must be paid via PrestoPay. All other rules of Great Lakes Scrip will apply to this program.  These will be published and sent to everyone who joins the program when they join.
